STRainbow: The Six Strains in the Rainbow Poster
People search for STRainbow like it is a strain. There is no STRainbow seed. STRainbow is my name for one poster: six of my paintings, six strains, each on its own color, lined up like a rainbow on one 36x24 sheet. It is the piece I get asked about most, so here is the whole thing explained.
Where the name came from
Strain plus rainbow. That is the entire joke, and I still like it. Every strain I paint gets its own background color, so six of them in the right order make a rainbow. The STRainbow poster is that row. It hangs in our living room in a black frame, and it is the one people walk up to.

The six, in order
The order is Gorilla Zkittlez, Wedding Glue, Super Lemon Haze, Girl Scout Cookie, Berry Diesel and Purple Haze. Each one was a painting first. I paint the mature female flower of each strain, 24 x 30 acrylic on canvas, and the poster is those six paintings sized down and set side by side. A line on each.
Gorilla Zkittlez opens the row. Her lineage is said to include Gorilla Glue #4 and Zkittlez, a candy name with serious weight behind it.
Wedding Glue is next. She is said to come from Wedding Cake and GG4. She is sticky and sweet, and that is why I painted her.
Super Lemon Haze is the yellow one. Said to include Lemon Skunk and Super Silver Haze. I put her on a bright yellow background because she is a zesty little lady and she needed a loud wall behind her.
Girl Scout Cookie sits in the middle on teal. She is a California classic, said to include OG Kush and Durban Poison. Why did I paint her? I like cookies. That is the real answer.
Berry Diesel is said to come from Blueberry and Diesel. She is named for how she smells, berries and gas, and the purple and green in her flower gave me a lot to work with.
Purple Haze closes it out on a purple background. She is said to include Purple Thai and Haze, with half her story lost to the 60s. I was feeling purple when I painted her, and it shows.
What you are buying
The poster comes in 36x24 or the small 18x12. Both can ship with no frame or in a black, red oak or white frame. It is printed on thick matte paper, 10.3 mil, so it lays flat and does not shine under a lamp. Before you order, measure the wall. 36x24 wants a couch, a bed or a long hallway behind it. 18x12 is for a shelf, a desk or a bathroom door. If you want the six strains as six separate pieces, the set of six 8x10 prints is the same paintings, one per sheet, on the same paper.
Same six, other things
The STRainbow t-shirt comes in Black Heather or White, sizes XS to 5XL. It is 100% combed and ring-spun cotton (the heather has a little polyester in it), and it is soft and light enough for Florida in August.
The STRainbow mouse pad is 8.7 x 7.1 inches with a soft polyester top and a natural rubber base. It is under my mouse right now. Keep it out of direct sun or the colors will fade. Everything else that wears these six, the blanket, the flag, the puzzle and the sticker, lives in the STRainbow collection.

Made to order
The poster, the prints, the shirt and the mouse pad are all printed when you order them. Production takes 3 to 7 days, then US delivery is another 3 to 7 business days, so give it about two weeks.
