Dispensary Decor: Puzzles, Flags and Strain Art for the Lobby and Retail Wall
I have walked into a shop and seen one of my paintings on the wall. It is a strange, happy feeling. So when a shop owner asks me what to put in a lobby or on a retail wall, I have already thought about it more than most. Here is what I would do with the space, using the pieces we sell and the ones hanging in our own house.
Start with the wall people wait in front of
Every dispensary has a spot where people stand and wait: the check-in counter, the line, the chairs by the door. That wall gets more eyes than any other one in the building. Put one big piece there and make it one people can get lost in. The 20 Strains poster is 36x24 and it puts twenty strains on one sheet, so customers stand there hunting for theirs. The STRainbow poster is six strains in rainbow order, also 36x24. Both come framed in black, red oak or white, so they show up ready to hang. Ours at home are in black frames, but white looks clean on a dark wall and red oak warms up a room with a lot of glass and metal.
Fill the retail wall with 18x24 prints
Behind the counter or down a hallway, a row of 18x24 prints does the job. Each one is a single strain on its own background color, so a row of them reads like a menu. I paint the mature female flower of each strain, 24 x 30 acrylic on canvas, and every print comes from one of those paintings. Match the wall to what you carry. If Sour Diesel is on the shelf, put Sour Diesel on the wall, and swap the print when the menu changes. The framed prints collection has every strain in every frame color, and strains like Sour Diesel and Purple Haze also come in 8x10 if you want small ones on a shelf by the register.

Flags for the tall, awkward spots
A flag is the easiest way to cover a tall wall, and it hangs in about a minute. The cannabis flag is 34.5 x 56 inches, 100% polyester knitted fabric, printed on one side with two iron grommets. We have one in the garage and it makes the garage feel like it has a personality. In a shop it works above a doorway, behind a display, or in a grow space where you would not want to hang a framed print. There are 23 designs, including STRainbow. Pick the strain you are known for, or the one with the loudest color.

Puzzles for the counter and the waiting area
The cannabis jigsaw puzzle is 520 pieces of one of my paintings, finished size 15.74 x 19.74 inches, printed on pressed chipboard with a semi-gloss finish. It is rated difficult, because a flower has a lot of pieces that look like other pieces. There are two ways to use one in a shop. Stock the boxes on the counter as a gift item, in the strain you sell the most of. Or build one, glue it, and hang it in the waiting area with the rest of the art. A finished puzzle on the wall gets asked about, because people can tell it is a puzzle and want to know who did it. There are 23 strains on the menu. One note: the puzzle ships to US addresses only.
A few things to check before you order
Measure the wall first. A 36x24 frame wants about three feet of clear width, and a flag needs a clear patch close to three feet by five feet. Everything except originals and gift cards is made when you order it. Production takes 3 to 7 days, then US delivery is another 3 to 7 business days, so give a new location about two weeks.
